The Gage Lab LLC

The Gage Lab LLC is a precision measurement and CNC cylindrical grinding company founded in 2021 and based in Jefferson City, TN — deliberately located in the heart of the Southeast to serve the region's growing manufacturing base.

We are tradespeople first. Our team includes a senior gage builder with decades at the surface grinder, builind gages to the tight stack up demanded, a fully licensed journeyman toolmaker with tool and die roots, and a founder with over 25 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and servicing custom measurement systems for automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturers across the country.

We design and build custom gages and automated measurement systems, service and repair measurement equipment from any manufacturer, and offer preventive maintenance agreements to keep production running. We also operate a CNC cylindrical grinding service with full certified documentation on every job — diameter, surface finish, and contour all traceable.

The Southeast has no shortage of gage sales reps and calibration services. What it has lacked is a company that can actually design, build, and service at a trade level — people who can walk your floor, read your print, and create the solution you need rather than sell you something from a catalog.

Over the years, our paperboard packaging manufacturing has expanded to over 500 sustainable bakery and food service stock products, a distribution warehouse, a truck fleet, a custom retail packaging division in Mansfield, TX, a corrugated packaging plant in Fairfield, OH, and, most recently, a new state-of-the-art plant in Chattanooga's Centre South Riverport Industrial Complex.
