Phenotype Screening Corporation

Established in 2004 by founders Dan McDonald and Ron Michaels, Phenotype Screening Corporation manufactures custom low-energy X-ray systems that support crop research. Their systems allow for unprecedented insight into developmental phenomena such as germination, growth, response to treatments, disease progression and interactions with the soil microbiome by visualizing the internal structure of seeds, stems, leaves, roots, flowers, and fruit through time. Researchers can use this information to improve crop yields and quality.

Nortek Global HVAC, LLC

Nortek Global HVAC got its start as the International Oil Heating Company, manufacturing environmentally friendlier oil burners for home heating. After success with St. Louis’ pollution problem, the company took its oil burners and coal conversion kits nationwide.
